About us
What is Jiran?
Jiran is a local marketplace that brings people in Syria together: jobs, rentals, services and things for sale. The name means "neighbours", because we believe neighbours help each other.
Why Jiran?
After years of war, people need a simple way to find work, rent what they need, offer their services to people around them, and sell what they no longer need. Jiran is designed to work on weak internet and simple phones, using little data.
How does it work?
• Post a listing for free, or browse listings without an account.
• Contact the poster in the chat and agree on a price.
• Payment is made directly between you, not through the app.
Safety
We review new users' first listings, anyone can report a listing or a user, and we suspend accounts that break the terms. We never store your exact location.

Data sources
